Dance
Movement and rhythm are the raw materials of dance. Together, as a moving
work of art, they embrace the human adventure in a time and with a meaning
found anew. Dance is the best remedy for body-mind duality: in secrecy it
tells the story of our lives and shows us how our inner being can be healed
by returning to its source. Dance captures images and dreams and creates
an inspiration-giving space in which it can live-out its own emotions. By
making possible the unification of our selves with ourselves, dance acts
as a dynamic support to a jubilatory experience which incites a subliminal
form of expression of our own selves to unfold. According to Roger Garaudy,
dance is a prayer that not only reproduces life, but which assigns a new
dimension and stature to it. Dance is creation in itself, and to dance one’s
life is to be at the heart of things, at that very point where the future
is born: it is to participate in its making. |
